Welcome to my little blog! In case you don’t know me, I’m Sheri, avid vegetable gardener, home cooker, artist and butterfly enthusiast, among other random things. My husband and I recently escaped the hectic hills of coastal San Diego and landed on a peaceful, sunny acre in rural Petaluma.
We’re not exactly homesteading, just attempting to live more simply, get back in tune with nature and with our own creative spirits. For us this means breathing cleaner air, embracing a slower pace, eating fresher food from local sources (eggs from our own chickens!!), and surrounding ourselves with like-minded, happy people who are pursuing their dreams. I’m kind of on a journey, waiting (somewhat impatiently) to see what the future holds for me. I don’t really make plans and don’t know how I’ll spend most days, I just get up, let the chickens out and see what happens. Once in a while we do something worth sharing and that’s what you’ll find here, light-hearted stories about our attempts to live a simple, creative life.
When we’re not playing in the garden or fixing the chicken coop, we’ll be back to work in our metal shop. You can find out more about our steel sculpture and furniture at ScraphoundStudio.com
Thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures ~
